When I was a child

When I was a child, I remember always having a passion for helping people. I wanted to be a pediatrician when I was growing up because of Doctor Israel, my primary care physician. Israel always had the biggest smile on her face and made going to the doctor fun. The medical field is something that I have always been drawn to but never felt like I could achieve. When I was in high school, I volunteered at Children’s of Alabama. I was on the cardiovascular floor and I absolutely fell in love with being in the hospital environment. I would be an asset to the surgical technologist program because I am ambitious and committed to making an impact. I have a good work ethic, a friendly disposition, and a will to succeed. I am willing and able to learn and experience first hand the environment of the clinical world.
